Episode Summary
Rasengan meets Chidori and the waterfall vanishes into a black sphere. Inside it, the decision: Sasuke, blade of lightning aimed at Naruto's heart, swerves to scratch the headband instead — unable, even now, to sever the bond completely. The sphere collapses. Naruto lies unconscious in the rain; Sasuke stands over the friend he couldn't quite kill, scratches the symbol of their village across his forehead protector, and walks toward Orochimaru. The end of tears: Part 1 closes on a victory for no one.
