Episode Summary
The race begins and immediately leaves the road: a rigged boat, a storm conjured by hired Mist ninja, and an ambush at sea that splits the escort from its runner. Between waves, the arc unpacks Idate's grudge — a Chunin Exam failure, a frame-up, a brother who seemingly abandoned him, and the rogue jonin Aoi who engineered the fall. Naruto, who has opinions about quitters and brothers both, appoints himself the kid's motivational problem whether Idate wants one or not.
