Assault on the Leaf Village! Pain comes to Konoha. The six bodies descend on the Hidden Leaf to capture the Nine-Tails and find Naruto, and the village faces the god who killed Jiraiya. The episode launches the Pain Assault arc's main event — the Deva Path's gravity powers, the six bodies fanning across the village, Konoha's defenders rising to meet an enemy that cannot be killed by conventional means. The invasion that defines Shippuden's first half begins, Pain's judgment falling on the village from the sky.
