Episode Summary
Naruto Uzumaki, the Academy's loudest failure, is shunned by Konoha for reasons no one will explain to him. When the instructor Mizuki tricks him into stealing the Scroll of Seals, Naruto learns the truth from a desperate Iruka: he is the living prison of the Nine-Tailed Fox that ravaged the village twelve years ago. Cornered, Naruto unveils the one technique he mastered from the scroll — the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu — and overwhelms Mizuki to protect the first adult who ever acknowledged him. Iruka rewards him with his own headband.
