Episode Summary
Inside the hideout, the Akatsuki begin the extraction — and the arc shows its cruelty. The ritual to pull the One-Tail from Gaara is a days-long agony, the organization's statue draining a friend's life by degrees while Team Kakashi races to arrive in time. The episode intercuts the approaching rescue with the tears of the jinchuriki: Gaara, who finally found a village to protect and people to protect him, being unmade for the thing sealed inside him at birth. The horror is in the helplessness.
